Founded in 1950 by Claude Bertagna, the wine estate has belonged since 1982 to the German Reh family. Located in the town of Vougeot on the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Bertagna cultivates its vines using sustainable farming practices across 21 hectares, of which 20 are planted with Pinot Noir and 1 with Chardonnay. Domaine Bertagna produces red Burgundy and white wines across 18 appellations, including five mythical Grands Crus (Chambertin, Clos Saint Denis, Clos de Vougeot, Corton and Corton Charlemagne), as well as seven Premiers Crus including a Chambolle Musigny 1er cru Les Plantes, four Vougeot 1er Cru, a Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts, a Nuits Saint Georges 1er cru Les Murgers, and village appellations (Vougeot, Chambolle Musigny, Hautes Côtes de Nuits).

Domaine Bertagna has given its wines a singular identity, recognizable by a deep color, an aromatic profile where fruit predominates, and a texture of great richness. The Corton Grand Cru Les Grandes Lollières 2004 delivers notes of black fruits and cocoa; the palate is marked by powerful substance, well-integrated oak, and a remarkable finish. Among the Premier Crus range, the Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Murgers offers a wine of great intensity with notes of stone fruits and a complex, deep finish, while the Vougeot 1er Cru Clos de la Perrière is a monopole producing fine and delicate wines. Domaine Bertagna produces rare white Vougeots; in particular, the Vougeot 1er Cru Les Cras Blanc expresses aromas of very ripe fresh fruits (peach and apricot) and honey on the nose, offering a beautiful balance and roundness on the palate, combined with a rich and supple texture.
